How to Test Soil for Farming: A Simple Guide for Farmers

Testing soil for farming is an important step before planting crops. Soil testing helps determine nutrient levels, soil pH, and overall soil health, allowing farmers to make informed decisions about fertilizer use.

The process begins by collecting soil samples from different parts of the field. Samples are usually taken from the top 15–20 centimeters of soil, where most plant roots grow.
